Conservation Description:
You will meet U.S. Forest Service staff at a scenic trailhead where they will instruct and accompany you in restoring environmental habitats in the White River National Forest near your hotel. The trail work project will last from 8 a.m. - 12 p.m. During your trail conservation project, we ask that you be prepared to:
- Provide your own transportation to the trailhead, located within about 15 minutes' drive of the resort on paved roads. (Austria Haus staff will provide you a map to the trailhead when you check in.)
- Wear long pants and sturdy close-toed shoes
- Hike approximately three miles round trip at a moderate pace
- Use hand tools with supervision and lift loads of up to 30 pounds
- Work rain or shine, unless the project is canceled due to inclimate weather
- Be at least 16 years old, and if younger than 18, accompanied by an adult

Rules and Restrictions: Rates based on double occupancy. Guest must volunteer Saturday of their stay on a trail conservation project, plus additional nights based on availability and subject to varying rates. If guests fail to participate in the trail maintenance, then package is invalid and guests are subject to pay rack rate.
Offer only available on specified dates. Cut-off for reservations is one week prior to day of project. To receive this special rate, guests must have a form signed by hotel project host confirming they have performed volunteer project. Transportation is not provided. Participants must be at least 16 years old; if younger than 18, they must be accompanied by an adult.
